This morning all of us loaded up the buses to go to Syndicate Falls. It was only a 30 minute drive from Portsmouth and it was absolutely beautiful. We hiked less than 3 miles to the waterfall and saw many gorgeous sites along the way...

After crossing as many as 4 rivers and getting our shoes completely destroyed through the piles of mud and slippery rocks, it was well worth the view at the falls. On our hike back we uncovered many enormous trees and fruits, specifically grapefruits. Scott and Tim decided to go on an adventure to get us all grapefruits, and boy were they good! We were also able to try some great sugar cane...

After the hike back and a bit full of fruit, we went on another trail to "the lookout," which wasn't as amazing as we had all hoped but still made for a good hike. We saw some interesting trees along the way, especially their roots...

Once we made it back to Portsmouth we stopped at a restaurant near campus. I had my first breakfast (since they serve it all day and I had a craving) since arriving.
